12 Hour Shift Information

With the signing of the current Labor Agreement in 2003, Locals 8-237 and 8-586 came to agreement with the Company to phase in a 12 hour shift schedule. First to begin the 2-days, 2-nights, 4-off schedule in January 2004 were the employees of the paper mill, represented by Local 8-586. Following a successful vote during the January shutdown (71.9% of the employees who will work the shift, and 71.4% of the entire membership), Local 8-0237 will begin working the 12 hour shift schedule on March 14th, 2005. This will complete a journey toward the compressed work week that began back in 1992, and took off in earnest in 1998.

Below you will find links to the past and current agreements, presentations and motions. If there's any more you need, just send me an email and I'll do what I can.
